Pre-Race Packet Pickup and Dinner
The pre-race dinner will be held on March 15, 2006 at Bill Johnson's Big Apple, located on the south-west corner of Bell Road and 19th Avenue. The meal is a choice of hamburger/cheeseburger with fries or spagetti with vegetable sauce served with salad and unlimited softdrinks. Race packets can be picked up starting at 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Dinner will be served at 6:00pm. The cost will be $8.00 advance or $10.00 at the door. The packet pickup is held in conjunction with the Arizona Road Racers general club meeting. To become an ARR member click on the logo below. The race briefing and Q&A will begin at 6:30pm.
Friday Packet Pickup at Host Hotel
For runners who cannot make it to the Pre-race packet pickup and dinner, there will be packet pickup at the host hotel, Red Roof Inn 17222 North Black Canyon Highway, just north of Bell Road. Friday, March 16 from 3pm to 6pm.

- 25 Miles North on I-17 to Exit 248 (Bumble Bee/Crown King)
- 28 Miles West - Following Signs to Bumble Bee, Cleator, and Crown King - First mile paved, remainder is gravel. The road is normally passable by car, although dusty and rough. Storms WILL cause portions of the road to be muddy, rutted, and/or covered with snow/ice.
Disqualification (DQ) Criteria for this year's race
- Failure to check-in at the start
- Missing cuttoffs. The runner must leave the aid station before the cutoff
- Violation of provisions listed herein (in normal words- violate the other items listed below and you're out!)
Permanent DQ Criteria
- Being inconsiderate to race staff or fellow runners
- DQ runner continuing without permission
Do not Litter!!!
- Transport all trash (including toilet paper) to the Aid Station trash cans
- Plastic bags and tissues are provided in your runner's bag
Restrictions on Team Support or Other Assistance
- No support crews or pacers are allowed on the course
- No assisting the progress of a runner
- No trekking poles or "Team Harnesses"
