There are cut-offs, 10:00 am at mile 16 and 3:00 pm at mile 30 and 3:30 pm to the finish. There is an early start for runners who feel that they will not be able to make the cut-offs. The regular start time is 6:30 am. This allows 5 hours for early starters to meet the cut-off and 10 hours to finish the race. This is a very generous amount of time and the slowest of runners should be able to finish in that time, so please take advantage of the early start if you feel you will be struggling to meet the cut-offs for the regular start. The race finishes at the saloon where there will be a free BBQ and a short, informal awards ceremony. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased at the saloon.

Overall finishers awards for first place male and female and first place age group awards (10 year groups). All finishers will receive a technical fabric running shirt. Showers are not available due to the negative impact on the Crown King sewage system. The race more than quadruples the normal town population of 63. Runners can have drop bags at the finish and can use water available to clean off after the race.

There is a general store with souveniers and a saloon where the finish is located which serves food as well as beverages. The BBQ at the finish is catered by the restaurant owner and Cindy does an excellent job every year, make sure to thank her and her staff.
